Victory for the Allies

1.       Last summer 1918 the Allies went on the offensive, for three months the allies pushed deep into German territory

a.       American Troops spearheaded the attacks that were concentrated through the rugged Argonne Forest

b.      Americans alone suffered 120,000 casualties in the Battle of the Argonne Forest

2.       The Central Powers hit extremely hard during the offensive saw their moral extremely broken

a.       Mutinies broke out in the German ranks

b.      German civilians began to riot and demand food that was in very short supply

3.       October the Chancellor of German officially asked President Wilson for a cease fire

a.       November Kaiser Wilhelm gave up the throne of German

b.      Germans were forced to evacuate Belgium, France, and Luxemburg as well as surrender enormous amounts of military equipment.

4.       A peace conference was set for January of 1919

 

Following the Cease Fire a peace Confernence was set for January 1919. Research The Paris Peace conference, who were the leaders and countries involved as well as the terms of the peace agreement. Please explain any disagreements between the leaders and what the results were. This should be at least one to two pages. and it is due before you leave today!   You will have a quiz on Mexican Revolution tommorrow so I hope you know it.
